I'm tickled pink!

Almost a month after my mother-in-law came to town and we started to paint the nursery, I have finally finished painting it!. Let me explain, when Liz was here we painted all four walls (three green, one pink) and if that was all I wanted to do, I would have been done at that point. But if you know me, you probably know I couldn't stop there. That just wouldn't have enough pizzazz for me (or my little girl!). So... Thursday morning I enlisted Dan (who worked from home that day) to help me and we start measuring and marking 39 points on the wall. Next, I stenciled and then fine-tuned 8 fleur-de-lys on the wall. Friday, I added dots... then I connected the dots (and fleur-de-lys). That was the fun part (can you hear my sarcasm?) and a mere 4 hours later I was done. (Except that I wasn't really because I'm a bit neurotic and I had to re-touch up some areas and still have two ribbon lines I want to "thin" out). However, it was worth it because I am tickled pink with how it turned out! Take a look for yourself BUT be aware, it looks much, MUCH better in person.

Oh and Dan put together the crib and changing table on Saturday so here is a picture of that too! (Yes, I know we need to get a mattress and move it to the highest setting. Don't worry, we'll get it done. We still have lots and lots of time.)
P.S. - I also have to give special thanks to Brooke & Andy Adams who let me use their laser gadget that sticks to the wall! While it was not easy to paint the lines, this gadget made it much less difficult.

Oh my heavens! I would have to be on some sort of very powerful medication before even attempting something like that (and then I can only imagine the horror of the result). It looks amazing!
