Hiking in the North Georgia Mountains
A couple weeks ago, Dan and I took Marie hiking in the Georgia Mountains. There are several easy waterfall hikes so we are checking them out one by one. Marie enjoyed it (although, she was really tired because she refused to sleep on the drive up there, which was the "plan"). She kept signing "water" which is a "w" at your mouth. Here are a few pictures from the family hike. All of them can be seen here at picasa.

The weekend before this, Dan and I snuck away to a bed and breakfast for one night in Sautee, GA. (In case you are wondering, Marie's Nana stayed with her and they had a blast.) The bed and breakfast we stayed at was amazing - especially the views (see all the pictures here). We would love to go back and do a planning weekend there sometime.
Since we have moved to Atlanta, we have slowly been exploring the north GA mountains and figuring out what areas we like most. We are actually getting to know our way around the various little towns and communities up north which is fun! Before we checked into our B&B, here's a picture of us at Desoto Falls.
